Considered by Time Magazine to be the “Person of the Century”, Albert Einstein details the evolution of his views on classical mechanics, relativity, quantum mechanics and more in Albert Einstein: Philosopher-Scientist. This rare book is one of 760 limited, first edition volumes that was signed by Einstein himself and features the original German writing with an English translation by Professor of Philosophy Paul Arthur Schilpp. Of the 760 copies produced, 10 were saved for presentation and 750 were distributed to subscribers of the series. Signed copies comparable to Rally’s #EINSTEIN sold in the late nineties for low five-figure results. Since 1997, auction results for signed, first edition copies of Albert-Einstein: Philosopher-Scientist have increased by an average of 350%.

This #EINSTEIN is unrestored and is fine condition with few signs of wear. This volume is in Octavo format, is bound in the original publisher’s leatherette and comes with its original slipcase and glassine. The front page of #EINSTEIN displays its unique series number (715) and the handwritten inscription “Albert Einstein ‘49”. Paul Arthur Schilpp served the editor of this issue, which also features a frontispiece portrait of the author by Yousef Karsh.
