The Saleen S7 was the American Supercar for the 21st century. Only 70 examples were built, though countless numbers graced the screens of those playing Midnight Club, Grand Turismo, Project Gotham, and Forza, where the car became something of a video game legend. While the trend in supercars today is towards smaller turbocharged and hybrid engines, the S7 achieved its 220-mph top-speed using nothing but aerodynamics and the brute force of an American V8, quite likely making it one of the last to do so. This placed the S7 above even the Ferrari Enzo in terms of outright speed yet cost only $375,000, or about half the price of a Ferrari Enzo when new. While Ferrari built 402 examples of the Enzo, only 70 S7 roadcars ever left the doors at Saleen. Rally’s #03SS1 has successfully exited and was sold on October 1st, 2020.

“Trying to stay incognito in the Saleen is like having a quiet cup of coffee with Lindsay Lohan.”

The record price for the model is $687k, set last year at auction by a Silver over Black example of the rarer Twin-Turbo variant.
